| Serenity Blueprints: From Quantum Mechanix or QMX. Fully official, fully researched blueprints of every detail of Serenity were produced with Serenity graphic designer Geoff Mandell and Firefly illustrator/Serenity set designer Tim Earls. This is a set of 10 18″ x 24″ full-color sheets plus a smaller 11th sheet autographed by Geoff and Tim, each suitable for framing. This was a limited edition of 750 sets, selling for $99.00. They are sold out, but sets may occasionally appear on eBay.
QMX has released a PDF document that tells all about the blueprints and shows images of them. Check it out here. The blueprints arrive rolled in a black rigid cardboard tube with a nice label, and they can be stored in said tube. They’re a little awkward to handle due to their size (at least if you don’t want to risk damaging them), but they are fascinating to look at. There are all sorts of interesting things we never saw in the show, like escape pods and a shower and a reactor control tower. They even have an armory (apparently Jayne’s bunk alone isn’t enough!) and an explosives vault. Serenity is one well-equipped little ship.
